This is a half day Power Pallet Truck Training course designed to provide the course participants with the appropriate knowledge to recognise the hazards and dangers of working with motorised pallet trucks.

This course is intended for anyone required to operate pallet trucks as part of their job

0.5 Day (morning or afternoon)
Training methodology:
This course is a classroom based and instructor led presentation, supplemented by videos and discussions and the practical demonstrations.

MCQ & practical assessment
Accreditation/Certification:
On successful completion of the training participants will receive an Amber Safety Certificate of Completion valid for 3 years. All our instructors are RTITB certified.
Course Objectives
On the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Know the legislation and guidance applicable to use of pallet trucks.
- Be aware of safe movement principles.
- Know how to correctly load the truck.
- Be aware of hazards associated with pallet truck operations.
- Use the pallet truck without endangering themselves and others.
- List the steps to take effective maintenance.

- The law – Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Rider Operator COP
- Performing & documenting the daily inspections
- How to deal with pallet loads
- Overloading
- Battery care and general maintenance
- Practical exercise and assessment of skills
